Lomilomi is a gift from the ancient Hawaiian masters of healing, a form of sacred massage in which you are deeply held, nourished and honoured. The giver of lomilomi uses their heart, hands and breath to flow a loving connection into your body and heart, allowing for a deep yet gentle opening into healing to occur.

The special beauty of lomilomi is that it is a powerful form of energy work which is actually received through a deep and thorough cradling and an absolutely tender touching of your physical body. This allows for your heart and your body, your humanity and your spirit, to be addressed simultaneously, and the effect of this is both deeply moving and deeply healing. Lomilomi can feel like being embraced by your mother, and your creator, at the same time, and this opens a deep place within the heart, where there is trust, divinity, and a deep feeling of wellness and rightness.

Lomi LomiA lomilomi begins with a stillness between giver and receiver, as a deep healing intention for you is established. Although the massage involves a beautiful technique, always the loving focus of the giver is primary, which is why lomilomi is also called the 'loving hands' massage. The massage strokes themselves are unique - deep and flowing, long and continuous, holding, cradling and breathing different parts of the body. Lomilomi uses many under-the-body strokes, creating the special feeling of cradling and embrace. These flowing strokes, and focused energy, relax your entire being and body, encouraging it to simply surrender old blockages, resistances and past beliefs that may be creating limitations or difficulties in your life.
